Through trial and great joy

Though there is always much pain and trial through life, I am finding that joys outweigh the heavy load that Christ has set before us. These trials create in us a reason to push, to push, push. These past five years of marriage have brought me much joy, heaven, love, peace, children, sorrow, pain, and yes, tears. These five years are my journey, my load that Christ set before me. I am in love with the concept that my Faith will be strengthened. I delight in the fact that my children will be able to live without fear of not believing there is a God, a Savior, and most of all, a Christ. I pray that my life will always be apart of my children. My legeacy comes from Nessie, Mae, Juneau, Debbie, and Susan. These women are not perfect but each one knows that earth has no sorrow that heaven cannot cure. Arwen Nessie dream big, without fear. Hear our voices unite and move toward the cross, feast with us at His table. I love you all, my family.

Arwen Nessie Hughes

Here is our Beautiful Baby Girl! She was born on April 17, 2006 at 1:01 pm. She weighed 7lbs and 3oz. I am so proud of her already. Delivery went well, with much less pain than last time. I just wanted to Praise God for all He has done for us and I pray that we will bring these wonderful blessings to the cross.

Gratitude

Man, I am so sorry guys but I did not write this. My beautiful Nichole Nordeman wrote this song off of her Woven and Spun CD.
Gratitude
Send some rain, would You send some rain?
'Cause the earth is dry and needs to drink again
And the sun is high and we are sinking in the shade
Would You send a cloud, thunder long and loud?
Let the sky grow black and send some mercy down
Surely You can see that we are thirsty and afraid
But maybe not, not today
Maybe You'll provide in other ways
And if that's the case . . .
We'll give thanks to You
With gratitude
For lessons learned in how to thirst for You
How to bless the very sun that warms our face
If You never send us rain
Daily bread, give us daily bread
Bless our bodies, keep our children fed
Fill our cups, then fill them up again tonight
Wrap us up and warm us through
Tucked away beneath our sturdy roofs
Let us slumber safe from danger's view this time
Or maybe not, not today
Maybe You'll provide in other ways
And if that's the case . . .
We'll give thanks to You
With gratitude A lesson learned to hunger after You
That a starry sky offers a better view if no roof is overhead
And if we never taste that bread
Oh, the differences that often are between
What we want and what we really need
So grant us peace, Jesus, grant us peace
Move our hearts to hear a single beat
Between alibis and enemies tonight
Or maybe not, not today
Peace might be another world away
And if that's the case . . .
We'll give thanks to You
With gratitude
For lessons learned in how to trust in You
That we are blessed beyond what we could ever dream
In abundance or in need
And if You never grant us peace
But Jesus, would You please . . .

My Lord, His Love

God whispers to me
In the fall of mankind
His whispers push breath into my soul
and I unite with eternity
This eternity puts flesh back on the bone
and fullness back to the face
As heavy as I feel, He places me as light as a feather
Round and Round I ease down onto the ground
He whispers again and closes my eyes
The whisper turns into wind that blows my hair across my face
On top of the world, a platform made for me
He greets me with a Kiss
He raises His hand to touch the top of my head
His finger falls slowly down my cheek and catches my hair back from my eyes
As He leans in
I feel the breeze strong upon my face
He catches my other cheek and I feel the softness of His palm
His kiss is light and for a moment I can see
He fills me with something I cannot gather
He fills me with His kiss

Pretty Faith

How incredibly insignificant I feel in my life at moments
I plead to the God of my grandmother, Please hear me!
I plead to the God of my youth, Please hold me like you did!
God of my marriage, Where have I lost myself?
When will I feel your touch………?
What is it that I feel now? The ache that is turning over and over throughout my whole mind and heart.
We attach ourselves to a Holy Place and place a sign upon the Door, "No Intruders."
So I sit here now full and empty at the same time.
God of my existence, when is it when you will be the God of my lips again?
When will you make me believe? Whether I have been in your place all along, or I choose to turn and wind, I don’t want to be without the proof of your fingers around my wrist.
God don’t you see that I feel that I am fading and every memory is slipping past me so fast that it turns into a dream. Why can’t my words be enough, I thought they were your words, why can’t my words break power around us, aren’t we made up of words, anyway?
So, sitting here dying to understand why I am living, why am I trying so hard to feel. Broken dreams taunt me at every corner, and compliancy tries to appease my ache. I cannot live without my faith; my faith is the only thing that has blessed me. I can’t live without my strength, please heal my strength in this dying, cruel, and ungodly world. This can’t be, No it cannot be what you have intended for me…………………………………………………………………………………Or, is it exactly what you have intended Oh God of my future
Keep on singing Solomon

God is doing a work in me
He's walking through my rooms and halls
Checking every corner
Tearing down the unsafe walls
And letting in the light
I am working hardTo clean my house and set it straight
To not let pride get in the way
To catch an eternal vision ofWhat I am to become
Will you help me be new
Will you hold me to the promises
That I have made
Will you let me be new
Forgive my old self and my old mistakes
It seems easier
Living out my life in Christ
For those who do not know me
To hide the thorns stuck in my side
And all my secret faults
But you know me well
And it's you I want the most to see
And recognize the changes
A word from you empowers me
To press on for my goal
When I feel condemned to live my old life
Remind me I've been given a new life in Christ

Just In Time for the Holidays

I just wanted to show my appreciation to mice everywhere. I never realized how crazy they can make people. Our beloved mice have arrived just in time for some holiday fun. Mice just make the home warmer, better, and down right funnier. I love hearing Jason in the morning drop everything in his hands out of fright, seeing these lovely mice run across his feet. Most of all I love finding poop. I think that is my favorite thing to do now. They get into your heart and make you obsessed--obsessed to see their lovely faces on some kind of trap or poison. I just wanted to thank my holiday mice for making life for me a little more complex.

Mom, Can I Watch!

I have to say Caedmon is unfazed by his daddy's silliness. This morning was a sweet reminder of how wonderful Jason is with Ceadmon. He is a great dad full of fun and silliness. Though I don't tell Jason enough, he is doing a wonderful job at being a great dad. His leadership shines through our son daily. Ceadmon asks to watch every morning, never failing. Every morning I remind him we will read our Bible first, and than watch. This morning was a priceless picture of how crazy things get if dad is here when Caedmon wakes up. As Jay was being silly, Ceadmon's exact words were "CAN I WATCH, MOM" He said them so calm with such a silly situation happening before him. WE LOVE YOU DAD!

Truth's Terra Firma

I have been thinking about what Jason wrote on his blog about our Terra Firma. Sure, everyone has a Terra Firma and in a case of human conscience, it is subjective. Lately I have been thinking of faith, absolute truth, and most of all, the reality of existence with or without our terra firma. I have been wanting to live like there is truth beyond my faith and doubt. Man is full of debate and so called “facts” that they pull out of their magical rabbit hat. Humankind from the beginning has been calling on truth in some form. Through our subjective failure, we are still struggling with the same struggle just with different, more professional names.
If you have the time, look at the conversation that goes on in John about truth. I wrote what I saw through the Word. The verses are below the analysis.
Truth dwelt with us
Truth sought out mankind
Truth is given in the form of a Spirit
Absolute Truth Frees the Soul
The hardness to find truth comes from the deception from the father of lies, the devil.
People do not believe truth because it is spoken on earth by Christ
Truth is only found by a certain group, not by their own but by the will of the Father
Truth will always bear witness of the Father and no one with recognize it unless he or she is from the father.
The Spirit gives man truth
The word is truth
the word sanctify
To be sanctified in truth we must consecrate ourselves
These last words sum it up
“For this purpose I was born and for this purpose I have come into the world--to bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth listens to my voice."
This was an amazing and complete journey for me. I know that truth is challenged and mankind will go own seeking truth. Praise be to God that truth can and will be found through the hearts of man.

Joh 1:14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.
Joh 1:17 For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.
Joh 4:23 But the hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such people to worship him.
Joh 4:24 God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth."
Joh 5:33 You sent to John, and he has borne witness to the truth.
Joh 8:32 and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free."
Joh 8:40 but now you seek to kill me, a man who has told you the truth that I heard from God. This is not what Abraham did.
Joh 8:44 You are of your father the devil, and your will is to do your father's desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, and has nothing to do with the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks out of his own character, for he is a liar and the father of lies.
Joh 8:45 But because I tell the truth, you do not believe me.
Joh 8:46 Which one of you convicts me of sin? If I tell the truth, why do you not believe me?
Joh 14:6 Jesus said to him, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
Joh 14:17 even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees him nor knows him. You know him, for he dwells with you and will be in you.
Joh 15:26 "But when the Helper comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth, who proceeds from the Father, he will bear witness about me.

Joh 16:7 Nevertheless, I tell you the truth: it is to your advantage that I go away, for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you. But if I go, I will send him to you.
Joh 16:13 When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth, for he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears he will speak, and he will declare to you the things that are to come. Joh 17:8 For I have given them the words that you gave me, and they have received them and have come to know in truth that I came from you; and they have believed that you sent me.
Joh 17:17 Sanctify them in the truth; your word is truth.
Joh 17:19 And for their sake I consecrate myself, that they also may be sanctified in truth.
Joh 18:37 Then Pilate said to him, "So you are a king?" Jesus answered, "You say that I am a king. For this purpose I was born and for this purpose I have come into the world--to bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth listens to my voice."

Joh 18:38 Pilate said to him, "What is truth?" After he had said this, he went back outside to the Jews and told them, "I find no guilt in him.
Joh 19:35 He who saw it has borne witness--his testimony is true, and he knows that he is telling the truth--that you also may believe.

Good Morning Everyone!
I just wanted to share something that happened just a second ago with Caedmon. Since birth, we have been reading his bible to him. We have read it so many times that now I don’t even book mark it, but I look through and pick something out. Well, this morning I was going through and I wanted to read about Jesus washing feet, and he said, “No, I want Joan and the Baptis.” So, I thought and said that he wanted Jonah and the whale. He said no “Jonah and the Baptis.” I finally understood and said “Oh, John the Baptist” and he said, “Yes, John the Baptist” like Duh, mom I have been saying this all along. Well, it warmed my heart to hear him have a favorite story. I think he likes to see Jesus in the water. Than to top things off after we read he said, “Mom lets sing Jesus Loves Me.” I felt good to be lead by my son in our study and worship together. We sang, prayed, and than of course watched. That is what we do every morning. It was awesome to see his little mind working and enjoying his study and worship.

Red in Zion

Hi everyone,
I have been wanting to show a pic of my new red hair. I don't have a good one so I just took one by the computer. Anyway, what do you think?
I really just wanted Kelli, Mich, and Mom to see.
Well things are going along. Some days are better than others but I am more hopeful that peace will sustain my existance. Well I want to write more later, about some stuff, but as you can see in the background of the pic, my house is a wreck.
peace
